thedownlowconcept are made up of award winning writing, producing and directing team Jarrod Holt, Nigel McCulloch and Ryan Hutchings who have worked together for more than 10 years. They’ve won the 48-hour film competition twice with ‘Brown Peril: The Tim Porch Story’ and ‘Only Son’. The latter also won two NZ Film and TV awards (best short, best script).

They currently produce ‘7Days’ (2011 Best Comedy at the NZ Film and TV awards), and their 6 part comedy series ‘Hounds’ also won Best Comedy at the 2012 NZ Film and TV Awards. They also love to wrestle each other for cash prizes.
